Prayer Teams goes to Parliament Hill and Rideau Hall

On May 15th, 2017, our school chaplain Elaine Baillie, took seven grade 7 girls to Ottawa to stay at the National House of Prayer. While in the capitol, students spent concentrated time in prayer for our nation. They met with MP Garnett Genuis, attended ‘Question Period’, toured the House of Commons, Peace Tower, Supreme Court, Rideau Hall and the Museum of Civilization. They also attended the National Prayer Breakfast where the Governor General, His Excellency Honourable David Johnston was the keynote speaker. Our girls presented a copy of our Alberta poster beautifully matted and framed from our school to the Governor General.  He was very touched by the gift.
